Hosted by CPCA, co-organized by CPCA Information Department, the Printed Circuits Information Magazine, PCBChinanet and PCB007, the first “National Brand” Election in China Electronics Circuits Industry which has experienced 10 months of four phases, finally closed on 22nd Sept., 2006. This activity was greatly supported by all the participants during the process and had a highly positive effect on the electronics circuits industry. The “national brand” also drew important attention from international electronics circuit industry media, experts and relevant government departments. As the influence of the activity is expanding, the brand establishment of companies in the PCB industry will also attract attention of other [Chinese] companies.

At the convention, a mutual perspective was gradually formed, which is “a company has a better chance at surviving longer only if it possesses its proprietary brands." In the 21st century, the brand has no doubt been one of the core components of competitiveness. Having an international brand is the key to promoting the competitiveness of Chinese national PCB companies, when faced with the global market. In the future, a company without a brand won’t be able to survive. It’s the truth not only for the major companies but also for the medium or small scale ones.
